Strawtown is located 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis on S.R. 37. Among the unique features of Strawtown is the Strawtown Sale Barn and Koteewi Park situated on the White River. An ongoing archaeology dig is being performed on the grounds of this park involving students from Ball State, Indiana, Indiana State and IPFW. Artifacts were found which date settlements back to 1200-1400 A.D. IPFW
